The Sentiero degli Dei runs along the cliffs from Bomerano to Nocelle, high above Positano, with the whole coast laid out below. It is about seven kilometres and three hours at an easy pace, mostly downhill if you start at the top.
How our guests do it
- We book a driver to take you up to Bomerano after breakfast — about forty minutes on the mountain road.
- Walk west to Nocelle, stopping wherever the view makes you.
- From Nocelle, take the steps down (about 1,500 of them) or the local bus back to Positano.
- We pack a lunch from the kitchen if you ask the night before.
When to go
April to June and September to October are best. In July and August start early: the path has little shade after eleven. Wear proper shoes — the stone is uneven.
